I have updated Screeve with my latest short story: Not All Presents Are Planned

This was a story I’ve had in my head for about a year now. It all came about after a holiday I took in 2010, when we rented a nice cottage in the Dutch countryside. The cottage was attached to a house where the owners lived and they rented out the cottage to holiday makers. One of the reasons we took the cottage was because it had its own private pool. It was quite small and unheated but being the summer the water wasn’t that cold. The owners weren’t a gay couple and I didn’t go with a couple of teenagers, that’s all artistic licence, along with a change of location. But with a bit of imagination, a great holiday can also be a fantasy holiday.

When I write stories, I always know where the characters will have sex and how they get there but the sex I leave to the point I write it. I have a vague idea of what will happen but things can always change. Take Chris and Steve for instance, I always thought that Chris would turn over and then Steve would blow him. But it didn’t turn out that way. As I wrote the scene it just evolved to what happened. I did consider an anal scene but I am eager to make things realistic and don’t think that two sixteen year olds would delve into full blown anal on their first encounter. Well not these two sixteen year olds; it may be so for two different sixteen year olds.

I was hoping to update Screeve at the weekend put time just ran away from me. So on a dark Tuesday morning due to a bout of insomnia I have brought you my latest offering.

I’m not sure you could call it a short story as my latest piece of writing is a fictional interview of a gay porn star who just happens to be straight and has become one of the best bottoms in the business. I particularly enjoyed writing this as it is away from my usual style and gave me a chance to try something new. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. It also gave me an oportunity to refresh my publisher skills as I thought it would be a great idea to mock up a magazine and show the interview in its proper setting rather than just the text on the page. Of course the text is still there for easy reading, but a click of the magazine cover will take you to the article as a pdf. It was fun to create and I hope you enjoy it.

After a somewhat prolonged holiday, I have now managed to update Screeve. This week’s update is a simple one, just one story; Xavier Mayne’s A Love Like Fireflies.

But this is no ordinary story, it is an excellent piece of writing and a long piece of writing of over 50,000 words. For those of you that like a good story, an involved story but hate waiting for the next chapter that in some cases may never come, this is most definately for you.

I read this story over several nights and I found that each night was not long enough as I always wanted to read more. I’m sure you’ll love it like I did and if you do then please let Xavier know.

Welcome to this week’s update and the final installment of Eliot Moore’s story. It was a I really enjoyed and I hope you all did too. I also found a great story on nifty this week and am sharing it with you. It is a story about two guys who both think they have found their own private space but find out the other has known about it for some time. It is a great fantasy that will certainly excite you. I’ve been in Sweden now for two days; I flew out on Friday with nothing but a suitcase and a rucksack. The place I’m staying has wifi but I must be some distance from the router as I’m only getting a weak signal, thankfully I post dated my picture blog posts while in The UK as it would take an age over here.

I’m renting a flat in a very old house. It’s quite nice, but I only have a single bed; I wonder if that’s to discourage entertaining. Otherwise the place is quite comfortable.

I don’t have much time to settle in as I’m back to work on Monday, so I spent yesterday trying to sort out the busses and get myself a travel card; but I’m hoping to have some time off soon.

The last time I relocated with my job, to London, there were very few updates to the Screeve website and I did very little writing. I sincerely hope this time will be different. Give me a few weeks to settle down and then I hope things will be back to normal.

An interesting article in the Swedish news:

Regular visitors to a Stockholm-area public swimming pool have expressed their outrage over the refusal of fellow bathers to get naked.

In an open letter published in local Stockholm news paper Södra Sidan, a group of regular visitors to the Skärholmen public swimming pool have demanded that something be done about visitors refusing take showers and saunas in the buff

“This is a difficult subject to bring up, as it is often dismissed as prejudice, as if we are judging a specific group in society or pointing our finger at ‘immigrants’,” the group wrote.

According to the authors, people with foreign backgrounds often flouted the rules posted on the walls of the swimming pool changing rooms by refusing to remove their swim suits or underpants in the showers and in the saunas, or for failing to shower at all before entering the sauna or gym.

The staff at the swimming pool charged with monitoring the situation seem to have ‘given up’ or are avoiding confrontation due to the ‘unpleasant behaviour’ of those that refuse to shower naked, the authors claimed.

“If this is a matter of timidity, they could always wear a towel wrapped around them in the sauna or turn away in the showers,” they wrote.

Thomas Lindell Taylor, manager of the public pool in Skärholmen, does not think that the writers of the article are right in their criticism.

“The article is identifying immigrants as the problem. I don’t agree with that,” he told Södra Sidan.

Instead it could be a question of a clash between generations, according to Lindell Taylor.

In his view, younger visitors to the swimming pool are simply ignoring the rules.

Swimming teacher Lars Birdal agrees added that not everyone is comfortable with nudity, explaining that the pool is many ways is a reflection of society at large.

“The public pool is like a miniature society and the problems you meet outside the walls you also see within,” Birdall told Södra Sidan.

Among visitors to the bath the opinions are mixed.

One Muslim visitor told the newspaper admitted to showering with his swimming trunks on and changing in a toilet stall in order to avoid undressing in front of others.

Another visitor said he is often irritated by the fact that people don’t take off their clothes before showering.

“Some people don’t care about the rules. It may have something to with their upbringing. But when I tell them off they start a fight with me. I am an immigrant to Sweden myself, but have been accused of trying to act ‘Swedish’. But all I want is for things to be clean and nice,” he said.

Not everyone agrees that there is a problem with overdressing in the Skärholmen public pool showers.

“Perhaps some aren’t used to getting naked in public, but I really don’t think that is a problem here,” one visitor said.

And now, why it’s been so long. Some off you have been emailing me and I have explained the situation but all of you lurkers have been left to fantasise of why I have been away for so long.

Well it all started in Mid-May. I got informed that I was going to be made redundant – again. This is the third time in five years. The company I work for decided to take the Finance department in the UK and transfer to their head office – in Sweden! They also said that there would be one job created over there and I would have the opportunity to apply for it. So I did and I got it. So I am now about to relocate to Sweden.

For the past two months I have been busy helping transfer finance to Sweden and I have been flying two and fro every couple of weeks. I have now sorted everything out about the relocation (it took over a month of negotiation) and I have got what I wanted and have been frantically trying to find a place to stay. Sweden has a very different rental market and it’s difficult to find a place.

Yesterday, I got a call from a land lord and it looks like I might have finally found someplace. If all goes well I will be flying out on 17th July to start my new life in Sweden.

But don’t worry about Screeve, I will not abandon it and I will continue to write stories and update the site, but be warned, some of my stories might have a slight Swedish bent from now on.

I suppose the major change will effect the blogs. Once I’m over there I don’t intend to continue the picture blogs. It won’t be immediate but just be prepared that they will finish at the end of this year. I hope this will give me more time to write, my first love, and give the ‘Extra’ blog more attention.

After so many Bank Holidays in the last two weeks and a Royal Wedding it’s finally back to work. And finally another update for Screeve. I hope you enjoy them.
