Well, we all knew it but he has finally come out. I don’t blame him for trying to keep it private for years as it would have no doubt dented his career. I read that when he did an interview with a pushy American interview he refused to deny he was gay but didn’t admit it either. Afterwards, his career in the USA plummeted. Coincidence?
I would like to see the day when gays can be open in the entertainment industry and it not effect their career. I know it’s not so much of a problem here in the UK or even in parts of the USA, such as theatreland or TV, but it is a huge problem in Hollywood.
I wish Ricky and his two young sons all the best and I hope he can finally be himself anytime he wants from now on.

Just to let you all know, I’ve been a little depressed recently. I have no idea as I have a new job, albeit for 12 months, which I am enjoying and is going really well. I think it might just be a remnant of being unemployed – which I hope will go away very soon.

Michael Black and John Morgan (aged 56 & 62), from Brampton, Cambridgeshire, had booked a double room at the Swiss B&B, Terry’s Lane, in Cookham, for Friday night. But when they arrived, the landlady, Susanne Wilkinson, refused to let them stay.
She admitted she turned the couple away because it was against her policy to accommodate same sex couples.
In the UK, under the Equality Act 2006 it is illegal to discriminate against people on the grounds of sexual orientation and so they have reported the incident to the Thames Valley Police. Ms Wilkinson says, “I don’t see why I should change my mind and my beliefs I’ve held for years just because the government should force it on me.”
Even though we have legislated against this kind of discrimination it would seem it is still going on. She should be prosecuted to the fullest our law allows and prevented from displaying her bigoted attitude. If she doesn’t approve of same sex couples, then she should not be offering a service which we might want.
I for one do not want to have to ask if they approve of gays before I book hotels, B&Bs, table at restaurants.

‘Don’t let prostate cancer hide’ is this year’s campaign to help get prostate cancer out in the open. It’s a hidden cancer because not enough people talk about it. We can’t see the prostate, and many people don’t even know what it is or what it does.
Prostate cancer awareness month is all about changing that. The more we talk openly about prostate cancer, the more lives can be saved.
The following may be signs of prostate cancer:
- A weak urine flow
- Needing to urinate more often, especially at night
- A feeling that your bladder has not emptied properly
- Difficulty starting to pass urine
- Dribbling urine
- Needing to rush to the toilet, so that you may even leak urine sometimes
Other symptoms you may get include:
- New pain in the lower back, hips or pelvis
- Problems getting or keeping an erection
- Blood in the urine or semen – but this is very rare

Well Wales beat Italy – and I’m not surprised. But the match was also notable because Wales fielded their youngest ever international player, Tom Prydie. (The middle of the first picture.)

And here’s Stephen Jones going to catch the ball.

Surprisingly Ireland lost to Scotland.

And congratulations to France who not only won the six nations but got the grand slam as well. As you all know my favourite was the sexy Morgan Parra.

It seems that gay soldiers were the cause of the massacre by Bosnian Serbs of 8000 muslin men and boys in 1995. What utter crap. Retired US General John Sheehan, a former Nato commander, claims that the Dutch peacekeeping force allowed the city to fall to the Bosnian-Serbs due to poor morale caused by gay soldiers.
Naturally the Dutch reject his claims, calling them “utter nonsense” and they say the incident was well investigated by the UN.
It would seem that some top military figures are so homophobic that they will accuse gays of anything and will use us as a scapegoat for their own failings.
But what is behind his claims? Has it something to do that the US military is possibly going to stop the pathetic and unworkable ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy and finally join the civilised world and let gays serve openly in the military.
Gay soldiers have been fighting for their country, whichever it may be, for years and have provided a valuable contribution. During WWII gay soldiers served openly in the British Army (despite it being illegal but that was conveniently ignored when we needed men to fight the Nazis) and we won. We should honour our gay soldiers and not condemn them.

I read this story during by lunch hour on the BBC news website. It seems absolutely rediculous that anybody could be assaulted by a cock. The report reads:
Marium Varinauskas, 28, tried to strike the officer on the head with his penis when she was called out to his flat, but she got out of the way.
Lithuanian Varinauskas admitted a charge of assault at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and was fined £600.
How big was his cock, that’s what I want to know. To even try such a thing, his cock must be several feet long.
The court heard he had been drinking heavily and could not remember committing the offence at his home in Aberdeen.
Police were called to his home by his girlfriend, who had complained about him being drunk last November.
They arrived to find the self-employed engineer sitting on the sofa wearing a pair of underpants.
Fiscal depute Elaine Lynch said: “The accused got to his feet and was standing over the police officer exposing his penis and thrusting it in her face, forcing her to take evasive action to avoid getting struck.”
I somehow think that she easily managed to avoid being hit by his cock. But the moral of the story, I suppose, is be careful what you do with your cock when you’re drunk.

It has been a bad weekend for Wales. So disappointing to lose, but then we never really got it together. France won, and it seems they might win the 6 Nations as they are undefeated and there is only one more week to go. Here are some highlights.
